Ten Things about Tanner

Tanna Banana :) (what Teeghun & I call him!)

I love this little guy!

He just lights up when I walk into a room and since Teeghun disses me for daddy this just makes my day!

His belly laugh...ah I love his belly laugh!

He is getting teeth, well a tooth. You can just barely see the white tip under the gums so I am hoping that it will break through soon.

He loves his cereal, his veggies, his fruits....he basically loves to eat!

He is weighing a whopping 19 pounds and 9 ounces and laughs when I call him my "chunky monkey".

He is doing better at sleeping longer at night.

Tanner seems to be following in the path of respiratory issues just like Teeghun, hopefully he will outgrow this!

He rolls from back to tummy and then gets upset cause he is on his tummy. Tanner DOES not care much for tummy time!

He will roll onto his tummy sometimes to fall asleep and then wake up in the night crying because he is on his tummy! GO FIGURE!!

He is already showing signs of wanting to crawl (much sooner than Teeghun).

He loves to spit and make noises with this tongue...He laughs when he spits his cereal and veggies! (Mommy doesn't laugh quite as hard).

(Ok so I have more than 10)
HE LOVES TUBBY TIME!

Ten Things about Teeghun

Jaidean (doesn't she have adorable kiddos??) did a post recently about Teagun and Emery and I thought that it was a neat idea so here it goes:

Teeghun has the most contagious laugh, I love to hear him and Steve laughing and playing from another room.

Teeghun loves his daddy dearly, if we stop together to pick up the boys from daycare he will run right past me to get to his daddy.

He loves to wear his hair in a "hawk" (mohawk) or spike, then wants you to touch it and say "ouch" :)

Teeghun loves Tanner dearly and wants to help A LOT!!

He is becoming a very sensitive little guy, he shows great concern when Tanner is sad or upset and if he should get too rough with Tanner it upsets Teeghun more than Tanner when Tanner cries!

Teeghun LOVES LOVES LOVES to be outside and would spend all the time he is awake outside if we would let him.

He loves "balk balk (chicken nuggets), cheese (macaroni & cheese), and fries" and would have that for every meal if we would let him.

He wants us to fast forward through Jo Jo's Circus so that he can see the 2 minute segment called Choo Choo Soul that follows on the Disney Channel!! Wish that Disney made a DVD just of the Choo Chooo Soul segments so that we didn't have to TIVO Jo Jo just to see the Choo Choo Soul segments!

Teeghun LOVES to swim and spend time in the water and he can swim the entire length of the pool at the YMCA with his life jacket on.

He can count to five and knows his phone number if you have him repeat to you.

Teeghun is growing too fast for mommy's liking!!

Oh where oh where...

Does the time go? I cannot believe that it is almost August! I have been terrible about updating the blog, sorry about that! It seems that our time right now has been consumed by estate work from the death of Steve's parents; we have been spending a lot of time at their house sorting through the memories and the personal effects that go with those memories. They have scheduled an auction for August 16th but thankfully the house sold before that so Steve won't have to watch the house that he grew up in be auctioned off.

I have been taking lots of pictures of the boys and was kindly reminded that "we need to see some new pictures" so here you go :)

WARNING!!! PICTURE OVERLOAD!!!! But you did ask for it :)

Teeghun

We heard the ice cream truck one night when we got home from work so Teeghun patiently stood in the driveway until he stopped at our house. He wasn't too sure about picking something out so we took a bomb pop and he loved it!!! Of course we paid more for that one bomb pop than we could've bought the entire box for at the store but it was a "first" for Teeghun so it was ok right??

1st Fourth of July

I forgot to include "comparison" pictures of Teeghun & Tanner's first Fourth of July. Here they are. Tanner was getting really tired by the time that I remembered to take his picture.

Fun Filled Weekend

We had a great 4th of July weekend. Friday we spent time at Sycamore Hills Golf Course for their AWESOME buffet. We were waffling on hanging around for the fireworks but when they sent up a test fire and both kids burst out in tears we decided that we might be a couple years from staying for the fireworks!! We did get a couple family pics taken that night...here is one of us four and another one of Memaw & Baby Papa with the boys.

Saturday we had swimming lessons in the morning, Teeghun has been "approved" for private swimming lessons so we will start those in a couple weeks. He does really well and has even been jumping off the side and going under the water by himself!! I am so proud of him!!!

Saturday evening we spent time at the Beverly's house. Teeghun & Meghan had a great time running around in their sprinkler, playing on their swing set and just hanging out together. Steve & Shawn went to buy fireworks and came back declaring that they had no idea what they had just bought. We gathered in the backyard to watch Shawn light the fireworks. Teeghun didn't mind the sparklers, but after just one "bigger" firework he was crawling up our legs and wanting inside now. So he, Tanner and Steve watched from inside. Here are some pictures from Beverly's house.

Saturday was a big day in Tanner's life...HE ROLLED OVER from back to tummy! I had missed this "first" with Teeghun and I was thrilled to see Tanner do it for the first time. Of course I cried...this is just another sign that my "baby boy" is growing up!

We started Tanner on veggies on Sunday here are the results...he really puts it away!!!

Yummo

I think that I like it...

A little help here dad..

Sweet potato face...what a cutie!!

Starting to get tired of sweet potato already

How much more do I have to eat??

All done!!

Finally we had a great Patriotic Celebration at our church, we honored the people who have served or are serving in the military and also honored the Fire Department and First Responders. It was an awesome service. We took pictures on one of the firetrucks before the service...check out these handsome dudes!!

VERY relaxing bath

For the 2nd night in a row Tanner has fallen asleep in the bathtub...isn't this just too cute...and doesn't he REALLY look like Teeghun??

This outfit was everyone's favorite when Teeghun wore it, so I was excited to get Tanner in it. He has almost outgrown it already so I was glad to get some pictures of him in it...

Teeghun in the same outfit when he was about 3 months old...

They sure do look alike don't they?

Catch-up

It has been a while since I have done an update and I am hearing about it, so here goes....

We are loving the beautiful weather that Mother Nature has blessed us with lately!! Teeghun would live outside if we let him!! He wants to be outside from the time that we get home until we drag him in for dinner at night. We have tried the sprinkler but he wasn't too sure about that, he usually just prefers that we leave it running and he can play around it whenever he wants.

Last night we got out the squirt guns, he had a lot of fun squirting daddy with them.

We love to hit garage sales when we get a chance that GG (Great-Grandma) found this bargain it is a LeapFrog Choo-Choo, it will help him learn his letters.

We spent the day with my mom (Memaw) recently while Stevie went to a day of basketball with Wayne. Here is a picture of my mom with the boys at the zoo...

Speaking of basketball here is Tanner at his first Lady Eagles game...

Teeghun has become quite the "cheeser" when I try to take a good picture of him...here are some random shots of him lately.

Here is one good one after his shower last night, he has suddenly decided that he doesn't want to take a bath anymore he wants to take showers instead.

Tanner's personality continues to delight all he comes into contact with, he has a great belly laugh, we took a video last night that we will try to get uploaded. His smile just makes my day and he sure lights up when I walk in the room and start talking to him. He is mamma's little boy, at least for now!

Doesn't the look on his face look like "Daddy will you help me out here"??
